Tips:
  • I usually crochet using 2 different skeins of yarn (either the same or different color) to make the hat thicker so wind is blocked better.
  • Embellish hat as desired - I use buttons, crocheted flowers, poof balls, etc

I am selling these hats that I made using this pattern.

    1. Oh no! That happens to me sometimes & I don't know why. Here are some tips:

      *Make sure your are getting enough double crochet stitches included. At first it is 2 dc in each stitch all the way around, then the next row is 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 all the way around, then the next row is 2 1 1 2 1 1 2 1 1 2 1 1 2 1 1 2 1 1..., then 2 1 1 1 2 1 1 1 2 1 1... then 2 1 1 1 1 2 1 1 1 1 2 1 1 1 ..., then 2 1 1 1 1 1 2 1 1 1 1 1 2.. 2 1 1 1 1 1 1 2 1 1 1 1 1 1. then start with only one dc all the way around

      * the pattern may change depending on how loose your stitches are. as you can see with my pictures, my stitches are pretty tight.
--- you might need to do round 4 or 5 a couple times in. by the time round 8 comes and your hat is still flat, adding a couple stitches wouldn't be helpful (so repeating round 8 wouldn't do much.)

      * if you don't see a cup formation in the first few rows, start over

      * also, once you start with only one dc all the way around, more shape will be formed.
